Our History
Maxim Consulting, Inc. is an Oklahoma Corporation that was established in 1998. We are privately held and owner-operated. Because of this, we have low overhead and are able to deliver high value at cost-effective rates for our clients. Maxim Consulting was reacquired by its founders in 2017, after having been sold in 2013.
Shawn's Bio
Shawn started his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in 1988 after graduating with a BBA in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. His specialty was systems integration and business solution delivery in the areas of elections, energy, revenue and Federal government. In 1992, Shawn left Andersen Consulting to start his own firm, TDS Consulting. At TDS Consulting, Shawn expanded into the health care arena as well. In April of 1998, Shawn co-founded Maxim Consulting, Inc.
Shawn has participated in the review, design, development, conversion, and support of numerous large public and private systems integration projects. He has substantial experience in performing general reviews and feasibility studies as well all phases of the applications development life cycle. Shawn has over 28 years of management consulting and information technology experience.
John's Bio
John began his career with Andersen Consulting in 1990 after graduating with Special Distinction from the University of Oklahoma. He specialized in systems integration, business solution delivery and project management. He was responsible for several large system installation projects and millions of dollars in fees. In April of 1998, John departed Andersen Consulting as an Experienced Manager and co-founded Maxim Consulting, Inc.
John has experience with organizations ranging from a local manufacturing company all the up to the Department of Defense. He has management experience in the design, development, and conversion of large systems installation projects. He has also served as both a lead technical analyst and a lead functional analyst on projects in a variety of environments. He has experience in all phases of the systems development life cycle, from preliminary design, through production support. John is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute.
David Sutton
David joined Maxim Consulting in 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Engineering Computer Science. His career has been long and distinguished, having held key and c-level positions in the IT industry for leading companies such as IBM, Express Personnel Services, Teleflora, University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and Every Tribe Entertainment.
Aaron Kirsten
Aaron joined Maxim Consulting in 2005 after beinging awarded his degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He has been a senior programmer/analyst on several projects for clients such as the Oklahoma State Election Board and the Cherokee Nation Election Commission.
Robert "Drew" McClure
Drew joined Maxim Consulting in 2009. He holds an Engineering Physics degree from the University of Oklahoma. He has served as a senior programmer/analyst and quality assurance analyst on numerous projects.
